About Me

I received my undergraduate degree from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN and my graduate degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA.

I am well trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Exposure Therapy and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and EMDR. I am licensed by the State of MN as a Psychologist and affiliated with the American Psychological Association.

I have been practicing in the Minneapolis area for over 15 years logging over 11,000 client hours working with individuals, couples, families and groups.

My experience includes serving as the Director of the Anger Management Program at Christian Recovery Counseling  (Golden Valley, MN) and as a psychologist at Bachmann and Associates (Burnsville, MN).  Currently, in addition to private practice, I work in the emergency room at Fairview Southdale Hospital (Edina, MN) as a psychologist working with patients in crisis.

I have had the opportunity to be a guest speaker at conferences and seminars on topics including: the effects of exercise on mental health, anger management, sexual abuse, trauma, and parenting issues.  I have also made guest appearances on local radio stations (KTIS, KKMS) discussing various related topics.

My wife and I live in the twin cities metro area and in my spare time, I enjoy running marathons and traveling.
